Design Process
When working with clients, my design process starts with an intake meeting to understand the project parameters, what’s needed, when it’s needed, how it will be used, and where it will live. I gather as much information as I can and ask any questions that come to mind so I fully understand what might be required. From there, I take time to research the project and usually put together a Scope of Work brief that outlines my understanding of the project, how I plan to approach it, the expected outcomes, deliverables, and the timeline. After an approval or acceptance phase, I begin the work. I provide drafts along the way, incorporate revisions, and then deliver the final product with all final assets. As an employee, the process is similar, just without the formal contract step in the middle.
